[February 16, 2010]  BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Table talk among Academy Awards nominees is ranging from weighty matters such as the war on terror to lighter matters like what to wear to the Oscars.

HardwareContenders gathered Monday for the annual nominees luncheon, sharing a meal that included poached pear gorgonzola salad, marinated chicken breast and apple tarts.

Meeting with reporters, best-actress nominees Sandra Bullock, Carey Mulligan and Gabourey Sidibe chatted about how they haven't yet figured out what gown to wear to Hollywood's big night.

Acting nominees Jeremy Renner and Woody Harrelson -- nominated for war-on-terror dramas -- talked about the empathy they feel for real-life troops.

Winners will be announced at the Oscar ceremony March 7.
