Is it time to think about
nursing home insurance?
-
Nursing home care
costs $50,000 per year at a minimum, and in many areas it is
closer to $75,000.
-
By 2030, one in
five Americans will be a senior citizen.
-
By 2030, those needing LTC will
skyrocket to more than 23 million Americans, with projected
long-term care costs reaching $300,000 annually per individual
(according to the National Advisory Center for Long Term Care
Insurance).
If you haven't considered long-term care insurance, it may be
time to give it a look. Deron Powell will present information to
area residents at a meeting on Monday, Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the
activity room at Vonderlieth Living Center. Powell is a State Farm
Insurance representative in Mount Pulaski and well-qualified to
discuss insurance options.
The world of long-term care insurance is confusing. The policies
vary widely with options such as a waiting period before insurance
kicks in, inclusion of home health or assisted living costs, and
amounts paid monthly.
We welcome you to join us for a lively discussion of what to look
for and when to buy.
