Lincoln Police Department reports for Wednesday, Jan. 27
  • McCain, Walter J., 23-year-old male, Lincoln; arrested Jan. 26 in Lincoln; Class A -- driving with a suspended license; $100 cash bond; vehicle towed

  • Robinson, Danielle N., 21-year-old female, Lincoln; arrested Class A -- driving under the influence; arrested at Delavan and Logan; vehicle towed.

  • Sparkman, DeAngelo, 32-year-old male, Chicago; arrested Jan. 26 at Clinton and Kickapoo; Class B -- possession of cannabis between 2.5 and 10 grams

Vehicle rear-ended at Lincoln Parkway and Woodlawn

  • Montgomery, John R.; 36-year-old-male, Lincoln; 1998 Dodge Ram pickup

  • Snyder, Amanda J.; 27-year-old-female, Lincoln; 1998 Dodge Intrepid

Accident occurred on Jan. 22 at 3:26 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Parkway and Woodlawn. Snyder was northbound, stopped at the intersection, preparing to make an eastbound turn. Montgomery was also northbound and planning to make the eastbound turn as well. He said that he thought Snyder was in the process of making the turn. Not realizing that she was still stopped, he hit her vehicle in the rear bumper.

  • Unknown pickup

  • Boerma, Fay E., 58-year-old-female, Lincoln; 2010 Pontiac GS

Accident occurred Jan. 24 at 1:34 a.m. on Park Place, 69 feet west of North Union. Boerma said she was awakened by a crash outside. She looked out the window and saw a pickup truck backing down Park Place. The truck stopped when it was in line with her vehicle, as though the driver was checking to see what kind of damage there was. The truck then immediately drove away. Boerma was unable to describe the pickup. The entire length of the side of her car was damaged.

Driver ticketed for driving too fast for conditions

  • Lowe, Rachel A., 25-year-old female, Lincoln; 1992 Dodge Spirit

  • Minor female between the ages of 16 and 18; 2001 Ford SE

Accident occurred Jan. 25 at 7:45 a.m. at the corner of Clinton and South Kickapoo. The Ford was eastbound on Clinton, stopped at the intersection. The Dodge was also eastbound on Clinton, coming up behind the Ford. Lowe said she applied the brake to stop but believes her vehicle slid on the wet roads.

Lowe was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Driver ticketed for failure to yield

  • Adye, Diane Y., 71-year-old-female, Lincoln; 1993 Cadillac Deville

  • Bender, Emilee L., 25-year-old-female, Lincoln; 2006 Hummer H3

Accident occurred Jan. 26 at 10:58 a.m. at the intersection of Sangamon and Pulaski. Adye was northbound on Sangamon and reported that she stopped at the intersection, then proceeded on, not seeing Bender coming on Pulaski. Bender said she saw Adye stopping, then proceeding into the intersection, but was too close to get stopped.

Ayde was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop intersection. No injuries were reported.
