Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[January 28, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slid 10.25 cents to $4.8375 a bushel, while March corn fell 4 cents to $3.5825 a bushel and oats for March delivery lost 3 cents to $2.2875 a bushel. March soybeans dropped 18.5 cents to $9.29 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures fell and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle slipped 0.15 cent to 85.37 cents a pound; March feeder cattle shed 0.45 cent to 98.52 cents a pound; February lean hogs inched up to 0.1 cent to 66.57 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 0.3 cent to 81.7 cents a pound.
