[July 02, 2010]  CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Jerry Cook and Fred Lorenzen are the two newest nominees for NASCAR's 2011 Hall of Fame Class.

NASCAR says Cook, a six-time NASCAR Modified champion, and Lorenzen, a Daytona 500 winner, are part of the five new additions to the selection process.

A nominating committee selected 25 NASCAR participants for consideration in next year's class.

Also included on the 2011 ballot are Richie Evans, Fireball Roberts, Ned Jarrett and Benny Parsons, who were all on the inaugural ballot.

The full list of 25 nominees will be revealed Thursday night on the SPEED network.
