Saturday morning the neighbors
on Richland Avenue in Lincoln got together for their annual early
morning block party and parade. Their get-together has become an
Fourth
of July kickoff tradition for the residents of the Starkey Acres
community.

Assistant Fire Chief Mark Miller lives in the
neighborhood. Here he hops a ride with a firefighter. Donations were
taken this year and given to the fire department as a thank-you for
their devotion to the city of Lincoln.
