[July 15, 2010]  The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the newest addition to the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival, to be held Aug. 27-29. The Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival Parade will kick off the weekend festivities with a lights and siren parade including pilots, sponsors and community members.

Parade lineup will take place down Wyatt Avenue, and the parade will start at 3:30 p.m. on Kickapoo Street, traveling to Pulaski Street, taking a left on McLean Street and a left on Latham Street, traveling around Latham Park, home of the 37th annual Fine Art Fair, then taking a right onto Kickapoo Street, traveling north, turning right onto Airport Road and entering the main gates of the festival.

The chamber looks at this as a great opportunity to showcase sponsors, pilots and celebrate Logan County's largest event, which brings in more than 15,000 people to the community in a single weekend.

The chamber encourages the community to get involved by volunteering, sponsoring, participating and opening your doors to festival patrons. To join the lineup, call 217-735-2385 or e-mail the office at events@lincolnillinois.com for complete registration information. (See parade entry form.)

The Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival is an important part of the chamber's vision to be an advocate for business by providing leadership, programs and services that create, protect and enhance the business environment for the benefit of chamber members, Lincoln and Logan County.
