[July 16, 2010]  SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) -- Northeastern Pennsylvania businesses are hoping their company names might make it into episodes of NBC's hit show "The Office."

InsuranceThe sitcom is set in Scranton, Pa., but actually is filmed in California. Producers collect paraphernalia with logos from local businesses to use as props on the set.

The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce collected hundreds of items Wednesday at the annual Prop Drop.

The hope is those mugs, magnets and menus emblazoned with company names will find their way onto workers' desks at the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Co.

Business owner Bill Dobitsch says while making it onto the show might not increase sales it certainly earns bragging rights.
