Republican Bill Brady announced last week he had raised $3.6 million
during the same period. Quinn's campaign said Monday they had
nearly $2.3 million in the bank as of June 30. That's about the same
amount of money Brady, a state senator from Bloomington, said he had
available.
Quinn, a Democrat, is running for a full term of his own after
replacing Rod Blagojevich when lawmakers ousted him from office. His
lieutenant governor running mate is Sheila Simon, the daughter of
the late Sen. Paul Simon.
His campaign says financial disclosure forms will be filed
Tuesday with the State Board of Elections.
