Grains futures, livestock prices rise

[July 22, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery jumped 11.25 cents to $5.8825 a bushel; September corn gained 5.75 cents to $3.7975 a bushel; September oats rose 1.5 cents to $2.575 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery gained 5.5 cents to $9.785 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle added 0.38 cent to 93.50 cents a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.18 cent to $1.1465 a pound; August lean hogs added 1.48 cents to 81.50 cents a pound; and August pork bellies gained 1.85 cents to 100.55 cents a pound.
