[July 26, 2010]  LONDON (AP) -- Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is publishing an insider account of the global financial crisis, his first book since being ousted from office.

Brown, who lost a national election in May after almost three years as U.K. chief, will set out the measures the legislator believes current leaders must take to avert a return to recession.

In office, Brown advocated a continuation of fiscal stimulus. Britain's new government has imposed tough public spending cuts in hopes of cutting the country's record deficit.

Publisher Simon & Schuster said Monday Brown's book -- which does not yet have a title -- will be released simultaneously in Britain and the Unites States in November.

Brown remains a rank-and-file lawmaker at London's House of Commons.
