Grains futures, livestock prices mostly rise

[July 31, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded mostly higher Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for September delivery rose 12 cents to $6.395 a bushel; September corn added 5.25 cents to $3.845 a bushel; September oats were flat at $2.615 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery added 11 cents to $9.99 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle added 0.50 cent to 93.97 cents a pound; September feeder cattle slipped 0.17 cent to $1.1410 a pound; October lean hogs gained 0.18 cent to 78.25 cents a pound; and August pork bellies jumped 3 cents to 106.50 cents a pound.
