'Curb Your Enthusiasm' sparks debate in encore run

[June 02, 2010]  LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Here's something Larry David is happy about: an encore run of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on TV Guide Network that includes a celebrity panel discussion.

The network wanted to avoid trimming the HBO comedy to fit into a half-hour with commercials, so it added celebrity debates about the show to fill an hourlong slot of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" programming.

Among the celebrities gabbing on "Curb: The Discussion" are "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm and comedian Jerry Seinfeld.

What's to argue about? The cranky, self-centered behavior of Larry David's character. David said he likes the idea, although he faults some of the interpretations.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" debuts on TV Guide Network at 10 p.m. EDT Tuesday, starting with episode No. 1 from October 2000.
