[June 07, 2010]  According to Recalls.org, a nonprofit organization, the following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending June 5: 

SNOWMOBILES 

BRP Inc. is recalling BRP Ski-Doo® Snowmobiles sold nationwide from March 2009 to April 2010. Friction between the fuel hose and the electronic control unit can cause the fuel hose to wear and leak fuel, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves the Ski-Doo snowmobiles model year 2010 Expedition TUV 1200 and model year 2010 Expedition TUV SE 1200. The model year and name are displayed on each side of the snowmobile and on a decal on the right side of the snowmobile. 

Consumers should contact their local Ski-Doo snowmobile dealer to schedule a free repair.

RING SLINGS 

Sprout Stuff is recalling ring slings sold nationwide from October 2006 to May 2007. The ring slings pose a risk of suffocation. 

The Sprout Stuff infant ring sling is fabric/natural muslin and comes with or without a shoulder pad. The sling is worn by parents and caregivers to carry a child up to two years of age. "Sprout Stuff" is printed on the back side of the tail's hem.

AMPLIFIER CASES 

VOX Amplification is recalling Night Train Amplifier Carrying Cases sold nationwide from April 2009 to April 2010. The clasp on the shoulder strap is defective and can fail, allowing the amplifier to fall and pose a risk of injury. 

This recall involves the nylon carrying case sold with Night Train guitar amplifiers. "VOX" is printed on the front pocket of the carrying case. The carrying cases were sold with amplifiers with model number NT15H. Model numbers can be found on the rear panel of the amplifier.

IKEA MATTRESSES 

IKEA Home Furnishings is recalling IKEA Sultan Heidal spring mattresses sold at IKEA stores nationwide from June 2007 to April 2010. The mattresses fail to meet the federal mandatory open flame standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves IKEA Sultan Heidal spring mattresses sold in sizes twin, full, queen and king. Mattresses included in this recall are date stamped 0725 through 1014 (YYWW). Sultan Heidal, supplier number and date stamp are located on a label attached to the mattress. Article and supplier numbers included in the recall can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should contact their local IKEA store for instructions on returning the mattress for a replacement of full refund.

MAYTAG DISHWASHERS 

Maytag Corp. is recalling dishwashers sold nationwide from February 2006 to April 2010. An electrical failure in the dishwasher's heating element can pose a serious fire hazard. 

The recall includes Maytag®, Amana®, Jenn-Air®, Admiral®, Magic Chef®, Performa by Maytag® and Crosley® brand dishwashers with plastic tubs and certain serial numbers. The affected dishwashers were manufactured with black, bisque, white, silver and stainless steel front panels. The brand name is printed on the front of the dishwasher. The model and serial numbers are printed on a label located inside the plastic tub on a tag near the left side of the door opening. Serial numbers can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should contact Maytag at (800) 544-5513 anytime, or visit www.repair.maytag.com to verify if their dishwasher is included in the recall. More info at www.recalls.org

STACKING TOYS 

One Step Ahead is recalling Animal Crackers Giant Stacking Toys sold nationwide from October 2008 to April 2010. The fabric covering the stacking ring's center pole can come apart at the seam exposing the foam material inside. The foam material poses choking and aspiration hazards. 

This recall involves Animal Crackers Giant Stacking Toys. The rings represent different animals including a frog, dog, cat, rabbit, mouse and chick. A fish is on top of the center pole. Each ring makes a different sound: rattle, jingle, crinkle and squeak. "One Step Ahead" is printed on a white tag attached to the toy. 

Consumers should return the toy's center pole to One Step Ahead for a $50 merchandise certificate.

SHREK GLASSES 

McDonald's Corp. is recalling  "Shrek Forever After 3D" Collectable Drinking Glasses sold exclusively at McDonald's restaurants nationwide from May 2010 to June 2010. The designs on the glasses contain cadmium. Long term exposure to cadmium can cause adverse health effects.

The "Shrek Forever After 3D" collectable drinking glass are 16 ounce glasses that came in four designs, Shrek, Fiona, Puss n' Boots, and Donkey.
