Jordan Cooper, son of Jeff and Julie Cooper of Mount Pulaski and a member of Troop 122, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

A Court of Honor was held on May 30 in recognition of Jordan's achievement. The ceremony was at the chapel at Steenbergen Cemetery, surrounded by over 100 flags set out during Memorial Day weekend to commemorate the men and women buried in that cemetery who have served in our armed forces.

Jordan completed his Eagle Scout project last fall for the Mount Pulaski American Legion Post 447 by designing and installing a handrail for the east side of the Legion building.

Jordan is a 2010 graduate of Mount Pulaski High School. He is a member of the FFA. He has earned his State FFA Degree and competed in many FFA judging competitions. Jordan is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski.

Jordan started his Scouting career in 1998 and became a Boy Scout in March 2003. He was elected into the Order of the Arrow by his peers. He has traveled twice to Cache Lake, Canada, and has completed two treks to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, N.M. Jordan served as trek leader on his last trek to Philmont.

Jordan is the grandson of John and Janet Cherry and Judy Cooper, all of Mount Pulaski.
