Early Childhood Director to Begin June 9th

Jefferson Street Christian Church is pleased to announce the hiring of a part-time Early Childhood Director to begin June 9th. Kellye McLaughlin (soon to be Kellye Saad) attends Lincoln Christian University seeking a degree in Children's Ministry and Early Childhood Education. She will hold office hours Monday—Thursday.

The public is invited to a Summer Praise Service to be held on Sunday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Camp Griesheim Christian Retreat Center in Atlanta.  An inspirational evening will be lead by Jay and Jackie Johnson, seasoned missionaries and local pastoral couple.
Jackie will have some items for sale from her fair trade business - Motif Ltd. based in Bangladesh.  Come share in the music too!

Camp Griesheim located in rural Atlanta, is a nonprofit, nondenominational retreat center. A freewill offering will be accepted to help offset ongoing operating expenses for the Camp.  For more information about Camp Griesheim, please call Vicki Crane at 309-244-9045.

Lincoln Christian Church will be hosting their 2010 VBS  June 27 – July 1, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.   “HERO HEADQUARTERS”  is this year’s theme.  New this year will the Super Sunday Kickoff Event.  It is an event for the whole family and a time to connect with friends.  Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 27 with games (including inflatable’s) and food.   You must register to enter.  Forms are available at the church office or at the Welcome Center.  At 8:00 p.m. that night  families will come together in the Fellowship Center to get a preview of what is in store for kids at VBS the rest of the week, including meeting a servant girl who spoke up at just the right time and then God’s power was made known.  We’ll also meet our missionaries, some special characters like Maintenance Mac, Wanda Waterwoman, and more!  Remember to invite your friends.  Meet us at 204 N. McLean St. Sunday, June 27^th for a lot of fun and fellowship.
