The Mount Pulaski Public Library is running its annual Summer Reading Program again this year. "Scare Up a Book" and "Get Fired Up" are the slogans this summer. More information can be viewed at www.mtpulaskiil.com.

There is a visiting presenter to delight the kids at 10:30 each Tuesday morning in the town's library on North Washington Street. Yesterday, the presentation was by Neil Beard and his assistant, Catherine Spannagel, who brought some animals from the Decatur Scovill Zoo, including a toad, guinea pig, snake, rabbit, turtle, bird, lizard and even a huge and very active cockroach from the island of Madagascar.

The summer reading and visiting presenter coordinator is Mrs. Lynn Lakin, and the library director is Mrs. Marilyn Howe.
