Lincoln Heat 12U

[June 18, 2010]  The Lincoln Heat 12U team sponsored by Bennett Funeral Home split a doubleheader with the Decatur Diamonds on Wednesday, winning the first game 14-13 and losing the second game 16-9.

Gage Vinson and Will Morris combined to get the pitching win in the first game, with Vinson striking out five batters in two innings of work.

Morris had two hits, with a double and two runs scored. Ben Steiner also had two hits, with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Brycen Hicks and Isaac Lewis each had a hit and two RBIs. Josiah Smith scored three runs in the game.

Decatur got the best of the Heat in the second game, pounding out 13 hits.

For Lincoln, Vinson was 3 for 3 with a run scored. Devin Smith had two hits and two RBIs.
