Central Florida Crimeline's board of directors unanimously agreed Wednesday to not award the prize to 22-year-old Mike Schillmoeller.
The man was walking his dog May 25 when he spotted David Disharoon, a homeless man accused of calling in threats to more than 50 schools, hospitals and other places. Schillmoeller reportedly called Crimeline 20 minutes after calling 911.
The nonprofit organization's executive director, Barb Bergin, says Disharoon was already in custody when they got the tip, so Crimeline didn't play a role in solving the case.
