LCHS FFA places 1st overall in Section 14 Dairy Judging Contest

Lincoln FFA placed first overall in the Section 14 Dairy Judging Contest on a rainy day. The contest was neck-and-neck, with Lincoln over Hartsburg-Emden by two points. The contest was hosted by the Lincoln FFA chapter at the Steve Irwin (Holstein) Family Farm and the Ted Dement (Jersey) Family Farm near Beason. Steve Schwoerer of Bloomington placed the classes as judge. Seven FFA teams from Section 14 competed at the event. Individually, Todd Irwin placed first with 279 points, Clay Irwin seventh at 271, and Nathan Applegate had 258. Hartem placed second as a team, with Kaleb Hoerbert second-highest overall at 277 points and Noah Cross third-highest at 276.
