[May 05, 2010]  At a breakfast ceremony Tuesday in the LCHS cafeteria, Mr. Tim Chavosky was honored as teacher of the year at Lincoln Community High School.

InsuranceEvery year, student government at LCHS has the privilege of choosing the teacher of the year. The process begins with nominations from the teaching staff. The final selection is made by the student government members.

He is currently the head coach for three sports: girls swimming, boys swimming and soccer. He has coached both swim teams for five years and began this year as the head soccer coach.

He graduated from Oak Lawn Community High School and earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Eastern Illinois University, graduating with honors in 2003. He was a substitute teacher in Chicago for a year before being hired at LCHS.
