Dear Chamber Member,
We have changed to format of our weekly e-Flash. We will be using this new
newsletter format from now on. I hope you enjoy the more professional looking
design of the email and find it easier to navigate and forward on to employees &
colleagues. The host of the e-newsletter is Constant Contact. Because we have
signed on to use this format, as a Chamber member you can receive a discount on

Fiesta Golf Outing
Friday, June 4th 12:30 PM Shotgun at Lincoln Elk's Country Club.
Sack lunch is provided. Stick around after golfing for our FIESTA with a Mexican
themed dinner, prizes, and silent auction. This year we are pleased to announce
that we have a Hole-in-One prize of $5,000 thanks to sponsor Country Financial.

New Addition to Chamber Board
We welcome Greg Eimer, VP of Finance & Administration for Lincoln College to the
Chamber Board of Directors. Jean Ann Hutchinson submitted her resignation in
April due to her and John's pending departure from Lincoln. Jean Ann will surely
be missed, but Greg will be a great addition to our board.

Where in Logan County is the Melon Car
The Melon Car will make a special appearance at a secret location on Wednesday,
May 5th, The first person to solve the clue as to where the car will be on
Wednesday will win a prize.

At our senior fundraiser cheeseburgers are the main attraction

first person is the winner. A person can only win once every six months, and
employees of the business hosting the Melon Car that week are not eligible to
win. Only Chamber members in good standing can participate in the Melon Car
contest.

The Chamber is looking for steering committee members to help plan and organize
a new event in November. The new event the Chamber will be hosting this year is
a Chamber Bowling Tournament. Please email Heidi Browne if you are interested in
helping plan this event.

Beginning last Thursday morning Nicholson Road (1250th Avenue) will be closed TO
ALL TRAFFIC at the Kickapoo Creek bridge - 2 miles north of Lincoln. The road
will be closed for several months for bridge repair.
Alternative routes should be identified for all emergency and routine traffic.

Community News & Events:
The Christian Village is hosting and International Celebration of Seniors on
Saturday, May 15 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., Join us for FREE food, music & prizes
while visiting cultures from around the glob. This event is open to the public.
Lincoln Community High School Fine Arts Department is presenting "Once Upon a
Mattress" May 6th - May 9th. Call the school for more details 732-4131
Lincoln YMCA is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Spring Family Ride. Sunday May 16 -
Registration is at 12:30 p.m. Ride starts at 1:00 p.m. Ride 5, 15 or 35 miles.
The Senior Issues Task Force is sponsoring an All Logan County Food Drive
throughout the month of May 2010. The drive begins officially on Monday, May 3,
2010 and ends on May 28, 2010. The task force is calling for donations of
unexpired canned or boxed food items and/or financial donations.

In addition, Regions Bank will also be accepting financial donations throughout
the drive period (May 3-28, 2010) on behalf of the Senior Issues Task Force (SITF).
