The Austin's Song fundraiser Saturday night at Friendship Manor was designed to raise money to assist students who are unable to afford musical instruments. Austin Gee sang in the school chorus and played an alto saxophone in the band at Chester-East Lincoln.

In addition to the food, the dinner and bake sale, there was a 50-50 drawing at the end of the evening. Here a volunteer visits with a guest and invites her to purchase a ticket.

Several young people from Chester-East Lincoln, where Austin attended school, were on hand to help out.  Here a young volunteer wipes down a table, preparing it for the next set of dinner guests.

Misc

Young Austin Gee loved music; he played in the band and also sang in the school chorus. Here are fellow choir mates entertaining the diners.

The young musicians brighten the corner literally, not only with their sweet voices but also with their matching yellow Chester-East T-shirts.

Austin loved all kinds of music… '

'

...and, according to his teacher, Sarah Crim, he inspired others…

...to love music as well.

Crim leads her choir in a soft, gentle tune about going home.
