[May 20, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- CBS is giving seven of its old shows the old heave-ho to make room for new fall fare with not-so-new stars like William Shatner and Tom Selleck, plus a remake of the 1970s police series "Hawaii Five-0."

InsuranceNew dramas also include "Defenders," starring Jim Belushi as a Las Vegas attorney, and "Blue Bloods," a cop show with Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg.

CBS announced its 2010-11 schedule Wednesday.

In his first sitcom, Shatner plays a character whose son has more than a million followers to a Twitter account where he posts his father's musings.

Clearing the way for CBS' six new entries are canceled series "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "Ghost Whisperer," "Cold Case," "Miami Medical," "Numb3rs," "Gary Unmarried" and "Accidentally on Purpose."
