Former LDN photographer Bob Frank took a Coast Guard flight over the gulf to film the activity at the site of  the sinking of the Deep Water Horizon.

A quick shot of the platform drilling the replacement well which is supposed to intersect the current leaking well.

A long distance shot of tender ships and the temporary drilling platform.

A typical gulf scene of crude just below the surface of the water.

BP is currently deciding whether to implement "Top Kill," a process where they inject a clay-like heavy mud and concrete to plug the flow via the blowout preventer.

Bob Frank sits strapped in with his camera across from the open hatch of the plane to get clear shots of the gulf activity.
