help ensure an adequate blood supply for area hospitals, Emden
Christian Church, 214 Corn St. in Emden, is hosting a blood
drive on the CICBC bloodmobile on Saturday, Nov. 13. The hours
of the blood drive are 9 a.m.-noon. For your convenience, call
Jessica to sign up toll-free at 1-866-GIVE-BLD, ext. 118, or
schedule an appointment online at
www.cicbc.org.
Walk-ins are also welcome and truly appreciated.

The next Draw 4 Carroll drawing will take place on Saturday, Dec.
4, at Carroll Catholic School at the Christmas bazaar setup at 10
a.m.
The
Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society is having
their annual meeting banquet on Monday, Nov. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at
Rusty's Clubhouse & Grill. Marita Schneider will give a presentation
about antique baby plates. For meal reservations, call 732-3200.
Aaron Butler, an eighth-grader at Zion Lutheran School in
Lincoln, has been selected as a Zion Lutheran October Student of the
Month.
Aaron has been on the high honor roll at ZLS, and his school
activities include baseball, basketball, track and field, choir,
Math Bowl, Scholastic Bowl, and speech team.
Aaron attends Lincoln Christian Church. His church and community
activities include youth group, choir, VBS and Together for Lincoln.
Aaron's favorite activity is baseball. He also enjoys spending
time and doing things with his friends.
Aaron's parents are Doug and Amy Butler of Lincoln.

Josh Mangano, an eighth-grader at Zion Lutheran School in
Lincoln, has been selected as a Zion Lutheran October Student of the
Month.
Josh's ZLS activities include baseball, basketball, track and
field, choir, speech team, Scholastic Bowl, Bible Bowl, Math Bowl,
and spelling bee.
He is a member of Lincoln Christian Church. His church and
community activities include youth group, choir, soccer, CIY and
summer baseball.
Josh is an avid Phillies fan. He also enjoys spending time with
friends, reading and playing video games.
Josh's parents are Dr. Mark and Roberta Mangano of Lincoln.
