Saturday morning six lucky
children got to spend some real one-on-one time with Santa Claus!
They all got together for breakfast at the Owl's Roost, a bookstore
and coffee bar on Pulaski Street.

When Santa arrived at the Owl's Roost on Saturday, he spent a lot of
time talking with each child there, then settled down and read them
one of his favorite storybooks.
The book "Harvey Slumfenburger's Christmas Present" told a tale of
how Santa was forced to deliver a present to Harvey Slumbenburger
without the help of his magical reindeer and sleigh and how
difficult a journey it was.
The kids were treated to hot chocolate, muffins and cookies,
received treat bags, and were presented with gifts courtesy of Main
Street Lincoln and the downtown businesses.
Two children received passes for youth activities at the Lincoln
Area YMCA, and the other four were given $10 in Main Street Money,
which can be used at any participating merchant.
