When a co-worker came to the pharmacy
department at ALMH last year with no pharmacy background, Beavers
provided guidance and training. That co-worker, Tammy Pourchot, was
then awarded Employee of the Month earlier this year.
"Largely due to Sue's influence, Tammy has become a valuable
member of the ALMH pharmacy team, where she daily provides great
patient experiences, makes ALMH a great place to work and provides
great results," Rohrer said. "Sue's actions have enabled and
empowered a fellow ALMH employee to achieve."
When Beavers began her career at ALMH, she worked in both the
pharmacy and the storeroom. She is a licensed and certified pharmacy
technician and was in the first group of technicians to be
certified. Technicians must complete continuing education every two
years to maintain their certification.
She graduated from Olympia High School and attended Lincoln
Christian College for two years.
As a pharmacy technician, she processes medication orders,
delivers medications to inpatients and outpatients, and helps answer
pharmacy-related questions from other ALMH employees.
ALMH employs more than 290 in a wide variety of job functions. A
different employee is honored each month for their commitment to
creating great patient experiences, getting great results, and
making ALMH a great place to work.
