Thrift for Thanksgiving 2010

--A partnership-two local ministries joining together
to provide for families this Thanksgiving.
Fresh Start Ministries is a ministry located in Lincoln, IL whose
mission is to fulfill the original call of Christ; leading others to
our Savior and giving help and service to those in need.

Six years ago Fresh Start Ministries (FSM) was founded by Mike
Robbins, previously of Elgin, IL. FSM has been involved in many
ministry opportunities including but not limited to: youth and young
adult rallies, giving to food pantries, feeding the homeless,
supplying in need families with food for Thanksgiving, and
purchasing Christmas presents for children in low income families.
Amanda Robbins, Mike’s wife has been apart of the ministry since
early 2009. In 2010 FSM affiliated themselves with a local church,
Open Arms Christian Fellowship in Lincoln, IL. These partnerships
have helped FSM be able to reach more families in the community.
This Thanksgiving Fresh Start Ministries is partnering with the
Genesis Ministries Project and New Beginnings Thrift Shoppe to
provide Thanksgiving Dinner to an even greater number of families
than in years previous. The last week of October (25th-30th) a
portion of all the sales made at New Beginnings will be donated to
Fresh Start Ministries for Thrift for Thanksgiving 2010. This money
will go toward buying everything needed for Thanksgiving dinner that
many families in our community are not able to afford.
If you would like to contribute and help Fresh Start Ministries with
Thrift for Thanksgiving 2010, come by New Beginnings Thrift Shoppe
and do a little shopping or simply donate to the cause. If you would
like more information on Fresh Start, founder Mike Robbins will be
at New Beginnings Monday, October the 25th from 4-6:30 to answer any
questions you might have.

If you or anyone you know is in need and would like to be considered
for the Thanksgiving Dinner gift, New Beginnings will have an
anonymous sign up sheet at the store. Candidates will be chosen
based on need.
October 2010 is Fresh Start Ministries six year anniversary. Help
FSM make this anniversary one to remember by supporting Thrift for
Thanksgiving 2010.
