Grains futures mixed, livestock prices mostly rise

[October 01, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures traded mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery dropped 9.5 cents to $6.74 a bushel; December corn fell 9.25 cents to $4.9575 bushel; December oats added 6.5 cents to $3.42 a bushel; while soybeans for November delivery gained 7.75 cents to $11.0675 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle added 1.03 cents to 99.60 cents a pound; November feeder cattle jumped 2.22 cents to $1.1202 a pound; December lean hogs gained 1.02 cents to 74.87 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0850 a pound.
