[October 07, 2010]  NAPERVILLE (AP) -- Hospital officials say a couple whose small plane crashed into the roof of a suburban Chicago fitness center are expected to survive.

Edward Hospital officials said Wednesday night that 66-year-old Lloyd McKee and his 63-year-old wife, Maureen McKee, suffered broken bones and other injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the Cessna 177 crashed just after noon near Naperville, about 30 miles west of Chicago. The plane hit the basketball court of the XSport Fitness facility. No other injuries were reported.

Naperville police say Lloyd McKee was an experienced pilot who had just taken off from a nearby airstrip on a flight to Pittsburgh. The plane was registered to Airplane Holdings Company in Wilmington, Del.
