Grains futures fall, livestock prices trade mixed

[October 19, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures fell Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery slid 14.5 cents to $6.90 a bushel; December corn dropped 5.75 cents to $5.5725 a bushel; December oats fell 8.25 cents to $3.62 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery dipped 1 cent to $11.84 a bushel.

Beef futures rose while and pork prices traded flat or lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle added 0.60 cent to 100.72 cents a pound; November feeder cattle gained 0.18 cent to $1.0955 a pound; December lean hogs dropped 0.88 cent to 68.02 cents a pound; and February pork bellies were flat at $1.0350 a pound.
