Throw the
tissue in the trash after you use it.
Wash your hands
often with soap and water, especially after you cough or
sneeze. You can also use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching
your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
Try to avoid close
contact with sick people.
Stay home if you
are sick, until at least 24 hours after you no longer have a
fever (100 degrees F or 37.8 degrees C) or signs of a
fever (without the use of a fever-reducing medicine, such as
Tylenol).
While sick, limit contact with others
as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
The combined seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccine is available at the
Logan County Department of Public Health for adults 19 years of age
and older through walk-in clinic hours Monday through Friday 7:30
a.m. until 4 p.m. and on the HOPE Mobile during its regularly
scheduled stops.
The health department continues to wait for shipment of the
seasonal flu vaccine for children 6 months through 18 years of age.
More information will be available once the children's vaccine
arrives.
