[September 17, 2010]  The Humane Society of Logan County will host its first "Loyal Friends Fall Festival" and membership drive on Saturday, Oct. 2 (weather permitting), beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Scully Park in Lincoln. The event is planned to raise HSLC awareness in the community and give animal lovers a chance to have a good time with their pets.

The blessing of the pets, with Rev. Mark Kaley of the First United Methodist Church and the Rev. Jeffrey Laible of Holy Family Catholic Church, will be at 10.

Bring your pet in costume for the "Boo Buddy" Parade at 11:15. Celebrity judge Mike Fak will help award small prizes for the funniest, most creative and scariest costumes.

Enjoy complimentary doughnuts, coffee and popcorn, and get information about membership and volunteer opportunities with the HSLC.

Please be sure your pets are properly leashed or in carriers.
