[August 02, 2011]  Stacy's Family Pharmacy is offering a special service to the community on Aug. 15. Two doctors of pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. One is Bruce and Cindy Stacy's son, Zachary Stacy.

The pharmacists will go over all the medications a person is taking and give evaluations on the meds. They will also help the person understand their meds and will look for duplications as well as drugs that have undesirable interactions.

Bruce Stacy said the PharmDs, as they are called, will also make recommendations if they know of newer drugs available, with less side effects, that a patient should talk to their doctor about.

He said the process will take about 20 minutes, so the number of individuals who can be seen is limited. Those wishing to have the free consultation should call the pharmacy at 735-1972 or stop in at the business, 709 Woodlawn Road in Lincoln, to make an appointment.

Stacy's Pharmacy also has other special programs going on right now for their clients. Among the programs at the pharmacy is the safe disposal of drugs no longer needed.

Stacy's also offers a synchronized prescription refill service. With this plan, each month at the same time you can have your prescriptions all ready for a single pickup or delivery. A week or so before your prescriptions are to be filled, the pharmacy will call you to confirm what prescriptions will be needed. They also will call your doctor for refill information or deal with your insurance company directly to eliminate any hassles for you.

Another special program offered at Stacy's is free multivitamins for children. Patients who fill four prescriptions in one year are eligible to have their children receive free vitamins each month.

Bruce and Cindy and the staff at Stacy's Family Pharmacy invite you to use any of these programs to help you and your family's well-being. They also invite you to stop in and see why Stacy's has such a large and loyal customer base and to join the many families who have come to depend on them for experienced, quality service.
