Tuesday evening the official week of evening grandstand events kicked off with the crowning of a new Logan County Fair queen.

The evening began with the current Miss Logan County arriving, escorted by her father, in a bright blue convertible.

The car is provided by Jim Xamis and will be at the disposal of the new queen throughout the week of the fair.

As Queen Bethany Rea took the stage with her father, the crowd roared with their applause, a sign of certain appreciation for the departing royalty.

Second to arrive on the scene was 2010 Little Miss Dani Phillips, also escorted by her father. As the two parted company on the stage, Dani gave her dad a big kiss.
