Lincoln city fire and rescue calls

Aug. 5

  • 8:05 a.m. -- Fire call to the 1500 block of North McLean Street due to heat from a short circuit from defective or worn wiring.

  • 11:02 a.m. -- Assisted EMS in a call to the 2000 block of North Kickapoo Street

  • 7:04 p.m. -- Fire call to the 1500 block of Seventh Street due to a malicious false alarm. Local alarm system.

  • 7:23 p.m. -- Placed on standby as backup for another fire department.

  • 7:45 p.m. -- Assisted EMS in a call to the 400 block of Ninth Street.

Aug. 6

  • 10:58 a.m. -- Fire call to the 200 block of Broadway due to a false call or false alarm.

  • 1:01 p.m. -- Assisted EMS in a call to the 1000 block of North College.

  • 5:00 p.m. -- Public service call to the 1400 block of Short 11th Street.

  • 11:48 p.m. -- Assisted EMS in a call to the 900 block of Fifth Street.

Aug. 7

  • 1:48 a.m. -- Fire call to the 100 block of South Kickapoo due to an unintentional smoke detector activation. No fire.

  • 5:06 a.m. -- Assisted EMS in a call to the 1500 block of Castle Manor Drive.

  • 2:06 p.m. -- Assisted EMS in a call to the 200 block of Broadway Street.

  • 5:30 p.m. -- Called for a special type of incident in the 1400 block of Short Eighth Street.

  • 6:34 p.m. -- Fire call to the 130 mile marker of Interstate 55 was dispatched and canceled en route.

  • 7:21 p.m. -- Assisted EMS in a call to the 900 block of North Monroe Street.

  • 11:15 p.m. -- Called to the 200 block of North Logan Street due to a malfunctioning carbon monoxide detector.
