Martha Green, who has been dedicated to helping youth as a leader of
the Atlanta Town & County 4-H for over 20 years, was recognized at
the beginning of the 4-H scrambles in front of the grandstand on
Wednesday night. Green was also noted as the matriarch of a
multigenerational 4-H family that includes her children -- Amanda,
Adam and Ashley -- and in the near future her grandson, Lucas.
Thursday morning during the 4-H Beef Show, a youth program near
and dear to his heart, Lynn Miller was recognized for his lifelong
dedication to 4-H. Miller was also noted as being the patriarch of a
multigenerational 4-H family that includes his daughter, Tracey
Rawlings, and his grandson, Troy Rawlings.

Friend of 4-H
Martha Green
This year will be
Martha's 20th year as a dedicated 4-H leader in the Atlanta Town &
Country 4-H club.
She and her husband
Wes, have a strong commitment to supporting the Logan County 4-H
program in all aspects.
For the past 5
years she has helped with the Logan County Federation club and is a
Youth Committee member.
Martha has many
life skills and is always encouraging the 4-Hers by teaching them
new skills. She is always actively involved in 4-H and never
hesitates to volunteer and help out!
The Green's have
many generations involved in 4-H including her own children (Amanda,
Adam and Ashley) and in a few more years the next generation will be
starting 4-H with Lucas, her grandson! She is a true friend of the
Logan County 4-H program. Thanks for everything Martha!
Friend of 4-H Lynn
Miller
Lynn Miller of New
Holland has been nominated for the Friends of 4-H award. He has been
a long time supporter of 4-H. He was a member of Logan County 4-H.
He has supported the Logan County in many ways.
He has supported
the 4-H members that show livestock at the Logan County Fair, he has
supported the 4-H Livestock Sale by buying and donating the money
back to the 4-H, he has also supported the Logan County 4-H
Foundation.

He is a member of
the Logan County Angus Association and has served as President of
that organization. He is a member of the Illinois Angus Association,
and a member of the Lamoine Valley Angus Association. He has served
many offices in the association and was honored as an honorary
member. He is also a member of the American Angus Association.
He has served on
the Logan County Calf Scramble Committee, the Jim Flach Memorial Day
Show Committee and is Asst Beef Supt for The Logan County Fair. He
also gives a trophy to the Champion Angus Female in the Open show in
Memory of his late son, Troy and a Herdsman award in the Beef
Division also in memory of his late son.
His family has been
involved in the Angus Cattle business for many years. His daughter,
Tracey (Rawlings) has shown cattle all her life, and his late son,
Troy showed until his death in 1991. Now his grandson, Troy
(Rawlings) is showing. He has shown since the age of 4.
Lynn's wife, Donna
has supported the Logan County 4-H with him. He resides at rural New
Holland with his wife, still raises Angus cattle and farms with his
daughter and son-in-law Dave and grandson, Troy.
