 "The bearish shocker was the whopping 5 million barrel build in distillate stocks that was much above our expected unchanged level," energy consultant Ritterbusch and Associates said in a report. In other Nymex trading, natural gas rose 1.8 cents at $3.57 per 1,000 cubic feet. Heating oil added 1.2 cents to $3.04 a gallon and gasoline futures gained 1.6 cents to $2.57 a gallon.
