in continued snow showers and lower elevation rain over portions of the Four Corners and northern Rockies. Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms will persist from central Texas northward through the
central Plains, then extend into the Great Lakes. The northern part of the Upper Midwest can expect snow, and parts of northern Wisconsin could see a mix of snow and freezing rain Wednesday morning. Furthermore, the cold front associated with this system will advance eastward through
the southern Plains and trigger potential severe thunderstorms across parts of Texas, with isolated hail and damaging wind gusts. By Thursday morning, expect precipitation to develop over the Northeast as the system moves into southern Ontario. A portion of northern New England may see ice or freezing rain Thursday morning.
Moving to the Northwest, a stationary front will continue to bring light rain to Vancouver Island Wednesday morning and keep most of the Pacific Northwest cloudy. A small portion of northwestern Washington may experience some light rain. A stronger Pacific system will then arrive Wednesday afternoon, bringing widespread precipitation. It should reach
the northern Intermountain West and northern California by Thursday morning as the system sags southeastward.
