Why do we do what we do on Sunday morning?
Is it rooted in the Bible and reinforced by history?
Navigating Route 66 in a GPS World (How to Read the
Bible)
Dustin Fulton
While we all agree that we should read the Bible, it is
often very
difficult to understand. Let's face it: the newest parts of
the Bible
were written nearly 2,000 years ago and in a completely
different
language. If we are going to be able to read it, we need
some simple
tools to help us. This class will use readings from the
Route 66 Bible
Reading Guide to help ordinary people learn how to read,
understand,
and apply the Bible.
The Truth Project
Brent & Amie Kenney/Bob & Patsy Wilson
Focus on the Family's, The Truth Project, is a DVD-based
small group
study that practically and personally introduces people to
the truth
claims of God. This is an In-Depth Christian Worldview
experience that
can be life transforming.
Bethel Class (Overview of the Bible—Unit A)
Wednesday Evening
Begins January 19 at 6 pm
Tim & Theresa McGee
This is the beginning of a new class to help us lean more
about how
the whole Bible fits together.
Sunday Morning Bethel Class
Begins January 16 at 10:45 am
Elaine Woolard
Either of these classes will be for anyone who has not yet
begun a Bethel
class, and the cost will be $20 for the
first 7-week session, and $10 per 7-week session thereafter.
It will
take six 7-week sessions to conclude the class, thus costing
only $70
total (to be paid at the onset of each session--not all at
once).
Call the church office (732-9294) to let us know if you
prefer Sunday
morning or Wednesday evening. We'll be happy to get you into
a class.
