Sailing away.

John Weiss (left) of the Route 66 Association of Illinois Preservation Committee receives one of The Mill's original sails from tourism director Geoff Ladd. Weiss took the sail for the Pontiac Route 66 Museum.

It was the preservation committee that rebuilt the sails in 2009 and installed them, along with local volunteers. The Mill was inducted into the Route 66 Association Hall of Fame in 2009.
