Red Lions lose to Red Devils

[January 21, 2011]  EUREKA -- The Lincoln Christian Red Lions basketball team had their five-game winning streak broken Thursday evening as they lost 74-71 to the Red Devils of Eureka College. At the half the Red Lions trailed by two, at 39-37, in a close game where the score was tied 10 times and the lead changed eight times.

Lincoln was led by Chris Lawson with 21 points, Brady Cremeens with 16 points and Kyle Rust with 12 points.

LCU shot 43.3 percent from the field and pulled down 34 rebounds. Eureka shot 50.9 percent and had 35 rebounds.

LCU is now 12-5 for the season and will host Concordia Seminary at 3 p.m. Saturday.
