The event is sponsored by the Harvest of Talents for World Hunger
ministry of the church. The tea will feature a variety of tasty
sweets and savories served from elegantly appointed tables that are
hosted and decorated by women of the community. Background music
will provide ambiance for the occasion. Guests are invited to come
dressed in their colorful spring attire, which may include hats if
they so choose.
Other highlights of the event will include a program chosen
especially for the tea and door prizes provided by local business
and individuals.
Marcia Bidwell is chairing the Spring for Tea. In announcing the
ticket sales, Bidwell noted that in past years the event was an
early sellout, and she encourages those interested to purchase their
tickets early. Tickets may be purchased at the office of Lincoln
Christian Church. For more details, call the church office at
732-7618.
All proceeds from the eighth annual Spring for Tea will become a
part of the 28th annual Harvest of Talents for World Hunger and will
be channeled through International Emergency Service to meet hunger
needs worldwide.
