[January 25, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- The story of a one-time New Jersey housewife who discovered the '60s pop group The Shirelles and became a powerhouse record company president is coming to Broadway.

"Baby It's You!" starring Tony winner Beth Leavel will begin performances at the Broadhurst Theatre on 44th Street on March 26. It will open April 27.

Leavel will play Florence Greenberg, who created the independent Scepter Records and also discovered the Isley Brothers, the Kingsmen and Dionne Warwick.

The musical has a book by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott, who co-wrote Broadway's "Million Dollar Quartet."

"Baby It's You!" is the second of five shows that Mutrux has planned focusing on American music.

Leavel won a Tony for the title role in "The Drowsy Chaperone."
