[January 26, 2011]  PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Winter-weary easterners are readying their boots and shovels yet again as another storm moves up the East Coast.

The storm is bringing a mix of rain and possibly heavy snow to areas from Tennessee up into New England.

Schools are closed or delaying starts around the region, including in parts of Tennessee, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and around Washington, D.C. The storm started in the early morning in many areas and is expected to get heavier by afternoon, complicating the evening rush.

Forecasters say the Philadelphia area could get 4 to 8 inches.

The storm will likely bring heavy snow to much of southern New England late Wednesday and early Thursday morning.
