Monday morning there was a
really nice turnout of kids, parents and pets for the annual old-fashioned children's walking parade in Lincoln.
The parade began on the south side of Scully Park and was escorted
by city police Chief Ken Greenslate as the group proceeded to the Lincoln Park
District Rec Center.

This year there were several canine entries in
the parade.
Lincoln Alderwoman Kathy Horn and her puppy,
who by the way is recovering from a broken leg.
Even Uncle Sam was present for this year's
parade.
Mayor Keith Snyder and Chuck Conzo, city
treasurer, judged the entries.
