The Chill went 1-1 in pool play. They lost to Capital City Krush
in the first game by a score of 5-0. Brighton Robbins tried to get
the Chill on the board with a double, while Kenzie Cooper, Meg
Driver and Kalli Rogers contributed singles.
In the second game, the Chill defeated Tri-County Thunder by a
score of 1-0. Hayley Turner had the game-winning hit in the bottom
of the seventh inning to score Kenzie Cooper.
The Chill moved on to bracket play and went 2-2.
They beat Monticello Magic 5-4. Several players contributed
offensively for Lincoln. Mallory Bacon had a triple and two RBIs.
Brighton Robbins had a triple, while Michelle Paulus had two
singles. Kenzie Cooper, Ashlyn Carroll, Hannah D'Andrea and Hayley
Turner each singled. Kenzie Cooper had two RBIs including the
game-winning RBI.
Mid Illini Mayhem were the next victims of the Chill as they won
3-1. Brighton Robbins kept her bat hot with two doubles. Michelle
Paulus singled, while Kalli Rogers singled and earned two RBIs.

The Chill were then defeated by Tri-County Thunder by a score of
3-2 and by Capital City Krush with a score of 8-7. Robbins continued
to be an offensive threat, recording three more singles and a double
in these games. Kenzie Cooper and Kalli Rogers doubled and singled,
and Abby Cline doubled
The Lincoln Chill now have a record of 31-19.
On Thursday, the Chill will begin play in the Illinois ASA state
tournament in Pekin.
