This morning a single-family
wood frame home at 200 S. Second St. in Hartsburg was destroyed
by fire.
Reports of smoke and flame at
the 1 1/2-story home prompted a mutual aid call to surrounding
fire departments. Units from Hartsburg, Emden, Atlanta and Lincoln
Rural were on the scene to combat the blaze. The fire started in the
attic area at the rear of the home. An investigation into the cause
of the fire will be conducted.
