The Humane Society of
Logan County is hosting the third annual Ales for Tails on
Friday, July 15, at Chad's Blind from 6 to 10 p.m. |
Music will be provided by the band Shiftin' Gears. The public is invited to
attend the evening of fun that includes beer and wine samplings, catering by
Lincoln College, a door prize, and a 50-50 drawing. Tickets for this signature
event are $30 and can be purchased at

The semiannual general membership meeting will be on Wednesday, July 20, at
the HSLC shelter. At that time the organization will elect a board member to
complete a term that expires in January. If anyone is interested in running for

County Genealogical & Historical Society is hosting Abe and Mary
Todd Lincoln presented by Gary and Carol Simpkins from Simpkins
Military History Museum of Heyworth. The event will be Monday, July
18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Woman's Club, 230 N. McLean St. in
Lincoln. The public is invited.
